Water lily (shapla) is the national flower of Bangladesh and sri lanka

introduction: The white water lily (shada sapla) is the national flower of Bangladesh.  blue water lily (In sri lanka it is called Nil Manel) is the national flower of Sri Lanka and the white water lily is the state flower of Andhra Pradesh, India. Although it is the national flower, water lily (shapla) is a neglected plant in this country.

The various fossils found testify to the existence of water lilies on the earth about 160 million years ago. There is evidence of the original existence of white and blue water lily in ancient Egypt.

The water lily (Shapla) grows in many countries in Africa, Australia and Asia. There are also water lilies (shapla) in America and England. In almost all parts of the country, water lilies grow in ponds, lakes, canals, river. The water lily (Shapla) flowers are very beautiful to look at. It's therefore plant in aquatic gardens as an ornamental tree. Its tubers and inflorescences are eaten as vegetables.

The rare yellowish water lily is occasionally seen somewhere. The most common is the white water lily. Then there is the limited range of red water lilies and blue water lilies.

Shapla is an aquatic plant. Once it grows somewhere, the tree grows there until its roots are completely removed. The tuber or motha of the tree is in the soil or mud under the water, the leaves are floating in the water, the tube-like petals and long stems of the flower are in the water, the flowers are in the water.
